Our Process
Cane Fresh Beverages follows a highly efficient and effective process to maximize the taste and nutritional value in the final end product – the juice consumed! Hygiene is given utmost importance at every step, to prevent any contamination from mud, clay, fertilizer, dust, chemicals, soot, smoke, pests or bacteria.

Thanks to the rigorous process followed by us, our Parlours have been awarded a Certification from CFTRI (Central Food Technology Research Institute) and we are now in the process of applying for audits and certifications from various Health Organizations.

Briefly, the process followed, and how each of these steps makes a difference:
Procurement: The raw cane is procured from the districts of Mandya and Maddur, near Bangalore, which are prominent sugarcane cultivation belts. No middlemen are involved to ensure farmers receive maximum value. At the same time, we have direct access to the growers and can ensure they follow the latest techniques in cultivation, along with an organic and pesticide-free style of farming. This ensures maximum nutritional value in the juice.

Processing: The harvested cane is processed at a local centre to strip the leaves and the hard outer rind which contains several toxins. Unlike anywhere else, where the outer rind is merely scraped, Cane Fresh ensures it’s completely removed and only the soft pulp is used to extract juice. This ensures the juice is completely free of any toxins!

Warehousing: The core stalks that are stripped of the outer rind, is transported the same day to Bangalore, and stored at a cold-storage hub that is air-conditioned and carefully monitored for temperature, humidity and dust. All this ensures that the juice in the core pulp is intact and there are no losses due to drying or wilting out.

Transportation: From the cold storage hub, the cane is transported to the parlors on a daily basis, using TransiCold Trucks. These air-conditioned trucks transport the stalks in a cool, sterile and scientifically-controlled cabin inside the truck. This ensures the juice is clean and safe to consume, at every stage in the transit.

Storage: Once the stalks arrive at the parlours, they are stored in Intelligent Coolers that keep the cane cool and fresh! These coolers are the most technologically advanced systems with temperature sensors, and corrective feedbacks.

Crushing: As and when required, the stalks are crushed to extract juice, using very compact stainless steel cane-crushers which are hi-tech, heavy duty and of the best possible specifications. This is in contrast to the traditional wheel-roller crushers that cause a lot of spillage and wastage, not to mention – contamination due to air-borne bacteria. Staff at our parlours are trained on hygienic maintenance of the same.

Serving: While crushing or serving the juice, no water or ice is added, to ensure a 100% Natural product. In addition to the ‘Natural’ flavor, ingredients like herbs and spices are added, to create 6 additional flavors: Lime, Mint, Salt and Pepper, Chat Masala, Herbal and Jaljeera.

Disposal: The remnant pulp is frequently disposed-off using scientific methods, as they are reused to make animal feed, fuel, and manure.
